Before officially being certified in the fitness industry, I was in retail management, leading outlets with annual revenues between $425K and $1.2 million with between 5 and 25 staff members. I've been privileged to be involved in the fitness industry collectively for 25yrs, operating in Powell River, BC, since 2011. Over this time, I've discovered how to bring clients a wealth of information. I offer a wide variety of options that enable clients to lead an active lifestyle either in-studio, at the park, or home. I've also been honoured to receive multiple business award nominations through the Powell River Chamber of Commerce.
It seemed a logical next step for me to become an instructor, and I am passionate about people experiencing the same high that I experience when I am dancing. Seriously, you do not need to have any dance experience; simply move your body and enjoy the music. And I promise to bring energy, fun, FITNESS and SMILES to the party!

Hi! My name is Lyn Oram. I was born and raised in Powell River, BC and proud to still call it my home. I am married with two grown boys and work full time as a Legal Assistant. In 2012, after having surgery to repair a bulging disc in my back, I decided I needed to make a change in my life and get healthy and strong.Partway through my fitness journey, I met Mike. I joined his Beach Body INSANITY live classes at first. After a while, he encouraged me to try Zumba. Although I assured him that I have no rhythm or coordination and I cannot dance and that High-Intensity Interval Training was more my “thing, I promised I would give it a try…and not just one class, a fair chance…at least three classes. As the saying goes, the rest is history. I was addicted from the first class. I started going to every single Zumba party that I could. I started in the back of the room and gradually gravitated up to the front row. I would ask the name of the songs so that I could listen over and over and try to remember the choreography. Zumba parties are, for me, my happy place. A place where I can forget about everything except the music and the rhythms and moving! And it is an incredible workout…exercise in disguise.
